How it Works
ProHealth's Methylfolate with Quatrefolic supports a variety of bodily functions including healthy mood, memory, circulation and well-being.* Folic acid and also food folate are not biologically active and need to be converted to the metabolically active 5-methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF) through a multi-steps process where the enzyme methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) owns a key role.
Quatrefolic® provides 5-methyltetrahydrofolate (MTHF), the active form used by the body for DNA regulation and other fundamental metabolic processes. While maintaining the same biological properties of 5-MTHF, Quatrefolic® has been able to increase stability, bioavailability and solubility over other previous folate generations.
